“Sectors” refers to the plethora of sections tech is segmented into. There is the security sector, the financial sector, the defense sector,the medical sector, the government sector, the educational sector, the nonprofit sector etc etc etc.
The point being that if you have an industry you’ve wanted to explore or be apart of, then tech can serve as a dual vehicle to help you get your foot in the door.
Now to talk about roles:
One thing about customer service is that as a provider,you’re conditioned and trained to provide and understand 3 things:
Support
Consumer Needs
Sales
You are also uniquely suited for and/or good at talking to people (communication) which is a critical skill and foundational need throughout the industry.
Technical Roles:
For Customer Service Representatives, Waitresses ,Bartenders and Stockroom Associates
Role: Technical Support Engineer
Salary: $34k - $57k
Responsibility:
A Technical Support Engineer is the go-to person for all computer hardware and software needs. Companies hire them because of their skills in resolving customers' accounts or company issues concerning technical infrastructure management.
Role: Frontend Developer
